“Dreadful Winters”

winter_season_in_delhi

ALL EXCITEMENT AND FUN SEEMS TO BE LOST IN THE AIR, THIS TIME IN DELHI, AS I HAVE TO SPEND MY WINTERS HERE.

A WALK ON MY ROOF

I LOOKED AROUND STREETS,

DARK AND GLOOMY,

DULL AND ALOOF.

I GAZED UP AT SKY

NO STARS GLITTERING, NO MOON TO SPY

I FELT AMAZE, HOLDING A MUTED CRY.

DUST AND SMOKE, FORGING UP CLOUD(S)

FABRICATING STRONG AND LOUD,

RISING DARK INTO UNIVERSE

THIS NIGHT LOOKS LIKE A FALLING CURSE.

I SAW SOME GLITTERING LIGHT

ON A DISTANT HOUSE,

ROADS ARE EVEN DULL AND DOUSED,

CLEVER LIZARD ON THE WALL

PRYING ON INSECTS, LITTLE AND SMALL.

SNEAKING AROUND

WAITING AND WAITING, STILL NO SOUND,

BEAUTY IS GONE LIKE LOST ON ITS WAY

FLYING BIRDS LOOKED SAD, WHILE GOING HOME AFTER DAY.

CHIRPING THEIR PAIN IN HUSHED VOICE

NIGHTS WERE BEAUTIFUL AND REJOICE,

GOING DEAD ON ENDS

SILENCE,

SPREADING WITH NO SEEN LAUGHTER.

A LOW, DEPRESSING AMBIANCE BELONGING IN

FOR A NO REASON,

AND IS STASHING UP THE DREADFUL WINTER SEASON.
